Overview

This course has an international reputation and is a dynamic course which is based on contemporary best practice. It creates the opportunity for physiotherapists currently working in the cardio- respiratory area to be challenged both academically and clinically .A high level of expert tuition is provided for all units and clinical placements. This course focuses on the integration between evidence –based practice and current clinical practice.

This course includes an update of the basic sciences such as Cardio biomechanics and applied Physiotherapy etc for improving abilities in functional diagnosis and clinical reasoning.

Throughout the program, students are typically required to complete a certain number of clinical placements or internships in various healthcare settings, where they can gain practical experience working with patients with cardiothoracic and pulmonary disorders under the supervision of experienced physiotherapists.

Clinical reasoning is fundamental to all assessment , treatment ,management and rehabilitation for both cardiovascular and pulmonary disorders. It is designed to enhance knowledge , skill and clinical competencies in clinical practice , research and issues related to cardio –vascular and pulmonary problems.
