World Food Safety Day
On 30th June 2025, the Department of Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, in collaboration with the Student Welfare Section, organized an Awareness Session on World Food Safety Day at the Student Mess, Santosh Deemed to be University. With the theme “Food Safety: Science in Action”, the session aimed to educate 22 mess staff and 15 students on safe food handling, hygiene, and storage practices.
Interactive demonstrations, visual aids, and expert talks made the session engaging and informative. The initiative successfully promoted awareness of foodborne illness prevention and hygienic food practices, ensuring a safer dining environment on campus.
