World Environment Day-Department of Anesthesia
On 17th June 2025, the Department of Anesthesia – Critical Care Division (For AHS) at Santosh Medical College Hospital organized an awareness session on “Green ICU” for B.Sc. Critical Care Technology students, as part of the World Environment Day observance (deferred from 5th June due to summer vacation).
Led by Dr. Debapriya Sarkar, the session highlighted the environmental impact of ICUs and discussed sustainable practices to reduce carbon footprint in critical care settings. Students were educated on energy efficiency, reusability, and recycling techniques aimed at creating environmentally responsible healthcare spaces. The event successfully promoted eco-conscious thinking among future healthcare professionals.
