TB and Asthma Awareness Month
On 26th June 2025, the Department of Hospital Administration, Santosh Deemed to be University, organized a community outreach program for “TB and Asthma Awareness Month” at Ayushman Urban Wellness Center, Vijay Nagar. The initiative targeted Samrat Chowk, Sector 3, a vulnerable area with reported TB cases.
Under the guidance of Dr. Nidhi Bansal and Ms. Kajal Rana, MHA 2nd and 4th semester students conducted health talks and an impactful street play (nukkad natak) to educate the local population on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of TB and asthma. Dr. Abhishek, the local medical officer, supported the event.
The activity successfully increased community awareness, encouraged timely diagnosis, and promoted the use of government-provided TB treatment services. The creative and interactive approach was well-received and will be replicated in future outreach programs in other high-risk areas.
